Some Paris Life with Heartman

As we wrap up our time here in Paris, I would like to share with you some of my adventures. I, Heartman, have spent some time with my new friend, Ted and then more recently, Cabot.

First it was fun to explore Paris with Wendy and Dan. I enjoyed watching the ice skaters in front of the beautiful Hotel de Ville:

and among many other wonderful places, they took me to the Musée D'Orsay to see this awesome exhibit of pastel paintings. You can ask Wendy about the booklet she got that has some of the paintings in it.

I'm standing on the railing here with my back to the gorgeous St. Pancras train station in London. Inside is the most modern, pleasant train station I've been in. What a pleasant way to travel from Paris to London in just a couple hours, UNDER the English Channel.

Here is where we stayed in London. Novatel is a chain of business hotels. Clean, good price and conveniently located.

While in London for a few days, we visited Trafalgar Square. It was a cloudy day but very pleasant temperature.

There is a custom in France where, during January, leading up to Epiphany, there is a treat seen in all the patisseries call the galette du roi, a delightful cake filled with frangipane. Inside is usually placed a little favor, or fêve. And I got it in my piece! I got to wear the little paper crown all day and to choose my queen!

I'd like to introduce my new friend Ted who came to visit us in Paris, Heartman, Dan and Wendy. he brought Chris and Marcella along, too.Oooh, we had some fun, and I admit some wild times, especially when we went to Provence. I admit, I was hanging from the lampshade!

As if that excitement was not enough, along came Cabot, pronounced "cab - bo". He is originally from Vermont but now lives with Lisa in Virginia. So when Colleen and Lisa came to visit, Lisa brought him along. What a fun cow s/he is!

We had our photo taken in Place de la Concorde before going in to see Monet's Waterlilies paintings in the Musée L'Orangerie.

So these are just some of the highlights of my adventure to France, now for more current excitement, let me show you some other animal adventures in Paris!!! - Heartman
